OUR STORY

Legend has it that kombucha was brought to Japan to heal the Emperor's gut. While we can't confirm that, gut health is exactly what inspired us to create Kumbayah Kombucha!

FROM GUT WOES TO BREWS

Meet Arvind Mohan and Ashvini, the passionate duo behind Kumbayah Kombucha.

Their journey with kombucha started unexpectedly. In 2017, while Arvind was studying music in Bhopal, he struggled with severe gut issues and was desperate for a solution. That’s when a friend named Victor stepped in. Before leaving for a three-month trip, he handed Arvind and Ashvini his prized SCOBY culture and a cherished kombucha recipe.

As they brewed their first batches, the results were amazing—Arvind’s gut troubles eased, and they were hooked! Not just on the health benefits, but on the whole brewing process itself.

Their kitchen quickly became a playground for flavours, where they experimented, perfected recipes, and eventually transformed a remedy into a delicious, refreshing beverage. And that’s how Kumbayah Kombucha was born—true to its roots and full of passion!

Kumbayah means “Come by here,” and trust us, it’s not just a random name we picked! It’s our way of saying, “Hey, join us on this fun journey of gut-friendly goodness!” Sure, we’re proud of our kombucha, but what makes it special is the passion and love we pour into every bottle.

We're proud to say that we're a no-waste company. Every scrap of organic waste we produce is transformed into biogas, and all our inorganic waste is carefully sorted and recycled.

RECYCLING TO RENEWAL

We love making sure that every used Kumbayah Kombucha bottle from cafes and restaurants gets a second chance. We carefully collect them when we drop off new ones. Each bottle then goes through a meticulous 5-stage quality check. If they pass, we happily clean and refill them. If not, they go off to be recycled and reborn in a new form. We're all about giving these bottles a fresh start!
